COLOR SQUARES
You can make a simple color matching game for
your child by cutting out sets of primary colored squares
in 5 - 10 different colors. Mix up the squares and let your
child find pairs of squares with the same color.
|
COLOR SHADE GAME
Older children can play a matching color game looking for
pairs of shades of the same color. Paint sample cards are
great for this game.

COLOR MATCHING CARDS
Using 3x5 index cards, you can make a color matching
game for your child. Trace around a crayon on each card,
then color in the shape with a crayon color. Give your child
a small box of eight different colors and have her match
the actual crayons to the drawing of the crayon on a card,
by laying it on top of the drawing.
CLOTHES PIN COLOR MATCH-UP
Divide a plain white paper plate, into 8 sections
with a black pen. Color each section with a different
primary color. Next, take 8 snap-on wooden clothespins
and color each top one of the 8 colors. Give the paper
plate and the clothespins to your child. Show your
child how to match up a clothespin with a section
of the plate by attaching the clothespins onto the
plate in the matching section.
