Give your children large pieces of white paper and the fruit halves.
Show them how to dip the lemons in yellow paint and the limes in the green paint, then make fruit prints on their papers.

LEAF PRINTS
Have your children collect one or two different types of leaves.
Set out some paint. Fall colors look great.
Give each child three pieces of white paper.
Show your children how to set their leaves on one piece of paper, then paint over the tops of them.
Then have them pick up the leaves carefully and place them up-side-down on another paper.
Then have them place the third paper on top of the leaves and press across the paper causing the paint on the leaves to press onto the bottom paper.
Finally, have them remove the top paper and the leaves.
They should be left with leave prints on their bottom paper.
Alternative: Children can also do leaf rubbings with leaves, crayons and paper.

THE LEPRECHAUNS ARE LEAPING

Tune: "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again"

The leprechauns are leaping all around, hooray, hooray!
They are happy because it is, St. Patrick's Day.
Some leap high, some leap low.
They all wear green wherever they go.
Oh, we're oh so glad the Leprechauns could come today.

TIME FOR LUNCH

Time for lunch.

What will it be?
What will it be?

Licorice and lemonade.
Lunch for me.

DOWN BY THE LIBRARY

Down by the Library,
Early in the morning.
See the little lenders,
Standing in a row.

When the doors are open,
In they all go.
Looking for books
About things they want to know.

LAZY MAN
Once there was a lazy man
Who liked to lay all day,
By the lake and look at lilies
And ladybugs at play.

One day he saw a lizard
And leaped up off the ground.
He landed on a log
And then he look down.

He saw a little man
Looking up at him.
He was a little Leprechaun
Who wore a great big grin.

Now the man digs
All day by the lake
Looking for buried gold
The Leprechaun didn't take.
