"M" ACTIVITIES

ART

MASKS
Celebrate the letter M with masks.
Take paper plates and cut them in half.
Then cut out eye and nose half circles along the straight edge.
Have your children decorate their masks with marking pens, glue and material scraps, feather, etc.
These half masks can be attached to headbands, for easy wearing.

MOUSE MASK
Add two circle mouse ears to make a mouse mask.

DECORATING M'S
Using the large M pattern, cut out large M shapes for your children using heavy paper.
Set out some paint dobbers of different colors.
Have your children stamp circular marble shapes all over their M's.

STAMPING M SHAPES
Another way to decorate the M shapes, would be to set out some stamps of monkeys, moons, or mittens for your children to stamp onto their shapes.

MEATBALLS
Set out some brown play dough and have your children make meatballs or muffins.
MACARONI PICTURES

Look for markers that have the same color of lid as the pen and the ink.
Take off the lids of the markers and set them in one pile and the pens in another.
Have your children take turns matching pens to lids.

MATCHING MATERIAL MITTENS
Look for 6 to 8 different kinds of material.
Cut two mitten shapes form each kind.
Then mix up the mittens.
Have your children take turns looking for mitten pairs.
