BUNNY RHYMES & FINGERPLAYS
SOME BUNNIES
Tune: “My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean”

Some bunnies have bright shinny noses.
I’m telling you this as a friend.
The reason their noses are shinny –
Their powder puff’s on the wrong end.
Wrong end, wrong end,
Their powder puff’s on the wrong end, my friend.
Wrong end, wrong end,
Their powder puff’s on the wrong end.

FOUR LITTLE BUNNIES
Four little bunnies went out to lunch.
They found carrots and took a bunch.
They ate the carrots with a crunch, crunch, crunch!

Four little bunnies went out to lunch.
They found some lettuce and took a bunch.
They ate the lettuce with a munch, munch, munch!

BUNNIES SURPRISE
Tune: “Eensy Weensy Spider”

Once there was a bunny
Who hopped around the town.
He brought colored eggs
And laid them on the ground.
When the children woke up,
They had a big surprise.
Lots of pretty eggs
Right before their eyes!

EASTER BUNNY HOPS
Tune: “Kookaburra”

Easter Bunny hops
All through the town,
Hiding eggs
So they can’t be found.
Go Easter Bunny go!
Hide your eggs around!

HERE COMES A BUNNY

Here comes a bunny - hippity, hop, (child squats down and hops)
With ears so funny - floppity, flop. (put index fingers on side of head & wiggle them)
When in danger he -sniffity, sniffs, (wiggle nose)
Then hides in his hole - jiffity, jiff! (place hands over head to hide)
Adapted Traditional

HERE COMES A BUNNY (version 2)
Here is a bunny with ears so funny. (hold up index and middle finger on one hand)
And here is his hole in the ground. (make hole by cupping other hand)
When a noise he hears, he picks up his ears (extend index and middle finger for ears)
And hops in his hole in the ground. (place fingers from bunny hand into hole)
Traditional

SEE THE LITTLE RABBIT

See the little rabbit go, hop, hop, hop.
See her ears go flop, flop, flop.
See her eyes go blink, blink, blink.
See her nose goes twink, twink, twink.
See her white coat, so soft and furry.
See her run - away in a hurry!

HIPPITY - HOP
Hippity-hop, hippity-hay
Five little bunnies went out to play.
Hippity-hop, hippity-hay
One little bunny hopped away.

Hippity-hop, hippity-hay
Four little bunnies went out to play.

(Continue rhyme until all bunnies hop away.)
Adapted Traditional

This is great to act out with five children at a time or use on a flannelboard.
