RAIN SONGS

PITTER-PATTER
Pitter-patter falls the rain,
On the roof and windowpane.
Softly, softly it comes down,
Pitter-patter all around.
Adapted Traditional

RAINDROPS
This is the sun high in the sky.
Here comes a dark cloud sailing by.
These are the raindrops, pitter-pattering down.
They water the flowers that grow in the ground.
Adapted Traditional

FALLING RAINDROPS
I listen to the raindrops fall
On thirsty trees and flowers.
I hear the pitter-patter sound,
And I’m thankful for the shower.
Adapted Traditional

RAIN ON THE GREEN GRASS
Rain on the green grass,
Rain on the tree.
Rain on the housetop
But not on me!

HERE IS MY UNBRELLA
Here is my umbrella,
It will keep me dry.
When I’m walking in the rain,
I hold it up so high.

I SEE RAIN
Out on the sidewalk, I see rain.
Now it’s hitting my window pane.
Oh, I wish it would go away.
So I could go outside to play.

Pitter pat, look at that.
Drip, drip drop, please, please stop.
Watching the rain is not much fun.
Can’t we have a day of sun!

EENSY WEENSY SPIDER

Tune: “Eensy Weensy Spider”

The eensy weensy spider
Went up the water spout.
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out.

The next time he went,
He wore his bright red boots.
Then opened up his umbrella
And up the spout did scoot.
