Costumes – set out dress up clothes for children to create their own silly costume.
Set out cloves and apples and show the children how to make apple faces by pushing the cloves into the apples.

PARTY GAMES

WHO’S THE GHOST
Have the children stand around the room or yard with plenty of room between each child.
Have children close their eyes.

Drape a sheet with eye holes over one child.

Have that child come and stand by you.
Then have everyone wake up to find the ghost.
Have children guess who the ghost is as he flies around the room.
Repeat while interest lasts.

MONSTER GOLF

Look for plastic eye balls at the store or make your own using ping pong ball and marking pens.
Let each child take a turn trying to hit two eye balls into a coffee can laying on the ground.
For a golf club, you can use a child’s plastic golf club or let the children just use a long cardboard tube.

BROOM STICK RELAY
Divide your children into two groups and have a relay race.
Have children line up into two lines.
Give the first child in each line a broom.
Children must ride the broom stick across the yard to a certain place and ride the stick back, giving the stick to the next person in their line.
The team, who’s last person comes in first, is the winning team.

PUMPKIN BOWLING
You will need 12 large, clean soda bottles for this game.

  • Cut out twelve 3” orange paper pumpkin shapes and tape one to the front of each bottle.
  • Set the twelve bottles into a triangle bowling shape.
  • Let your children take turns rolling a small ball at the bottles and count how many each child knocks down.
