FLOWER ACTIVITIES

DAFFODIL
  • Cut out yellow flower shapes for your children using the medium flower pattern.
  • Next, give your children a paper baking cup to glue in the center of their flower shape.
  • Have your children glue their daffodil on a piece of paper and add stems and leaves with a green marking pen.
FLOWER NECKLACE
Using colored paper, cut out multiple flowers for your children using the medium flower pattern.
Punch holes in the center of each flower with a hole punch (or sharp pencil).
Give flowers to your children along with some straws and some yarn pieces 18" long. Wrap one end of the yarn pieces with tape to create a "sewing needle".
Have your children cut the straws into small 1" pieces.
Then, show them how to lace the straw pieces and the flowers onto the yarn. Alternate straw pieces and flowers.
Children should lace on approximately 5 - 7 straw sections and 4 - 6 paper flowers.
Help your children tie their necklaces around their necks when they are finished lacing.
