TURKEY PATTERN ACTIVITIES

TURKEY PUPPETS

FINGER PUPPET
Using the small pattern, cut a turkey out of brown paper.
Let your child glue a large brown pom in the center of the turkey's body.
Next, create a small paper tube by taping a piece of paper 1" x 2" into a cylinder.
Next, glue or tape the turkey onto the finger tube.
Have your child slip the puppet onto her finger.

STICK PUPPET
Using the medium pattern, cut out a turkey for your child from brown paper.
Give him some small feathers (brown or colored) to glue onto the turkey.
Help your child attach a craft stick to the back of the puppet with tape or glue.

TURKEY PICTURES
Using the large pattern, cut out a brown paper turkey for your child.
Give her some 1" x 4" colored paper strips.
Have her snip off the corners on one end of each strip to create colored feathers.
Give your child some glue in a bowl and a small brush. Have her brush some glue onto the back of each feather and place it onto her turkey.
Let your child decide whether or not to glue the turkey onto a larger piece of paper or to just leave her turkey as is.

TURKEYS IN THE BARNYARD
Using the medium or small pattern, cut out 3 turkeys.
Give the turkeys to your child and have him glue them onto a larger piece of paper.
Next, give him some small craft sticks and have him make a pen for this turkeys by gluing the sticks around the turkeys.
