PUMPKIN SEED COUNT
Number five orange pumpkin shapes from 1 to 5. Set out a bowl of 15 pumpkin seeds. Invite your children to place a matching number of seeds on each pumpkin.
 

FLANNELBOARD PUMPKINS Cut assorted sizes of pumpkin shapes out of orange felt and place them on a flannelboard. Have your children divide the pumpkins into two groups: large and small. Then have them line up the pumpkins from smallest to largest. Another Suggestion: With markers, draw matching faces on pairs of felt pumpkins. Invite your children to group the match-ups together.

 
PASS THE PUMPKIN
Have your children sit in a circle and pass around a pumpkin while singing the song below. Each time the song ends, let the child holding the pumpkin name the next child to pass the pumpkin to, and start the song again. Continue until everyone has had a turn.
